The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed regarding the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The support position developed for intervention ordeals a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and improve usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
